The Council is aware that concerns have been raised by some residents following the pigeon flying competition which took place at the Parish Hall and Playing Field over the weekend.

The Council had considered and approved a request for use of the playing field on the basis of the information provided in advance. This indicated that the field would be used for a small controlled release and landing of competition pigeons.

We understand that some residents experienced disruption connected with the event. The Council is sorry to hear that some residents were inconvenienced.

The Parish Hall did receive income from the booking, which supports the ongoing running of this important village facility. However, the feedback received will be taken into account when considering any future requests for private use of the playing field.
